Above products are Epoxy & Urethane based coatings applied on PCB as conformal coatings, due to insulation property it is also used for coating bus-bars.

Following is a short description of the product.

Epoxy as per GOST - 20824 - 81

Epoxy based products are very hard, usually transparent / opaque, having excellent resistance to the effects of moisture and solvents. Epoxy is a two part therm-o-setting mixture with pot life of approximately 16 hours, it possesses excellent chemical and abrasion resistance.

The product passes in following parameters:

1. Resistance to low temperature (thermal shock) at -60o C at 24 mbar pressure for 30 minutes (soaked).

2. Resistance to high temperature at 120o C for 30 minutes.

3. Dielectric Strength (Direct Current) - 60 KV / MM (Alternating Current) - 20 KV/MM

4. Specific Volume Resistivity (Direct Current) - 6.81 X 1013 Ohm - Cm

Epoxy is quite easy to apply but nearly impossible to remove without damaging the components.

Urethane as per TU - 6 - 21 - 14 - 90

Urethane coatings are hard and durable that has excellent resistance to solvents. It has similar moisture resistance to acrylic and silicone.

Coating process

A PCB / bus bar / must be cleaned and DE-moisturized within 8 hours of conformal coating. De-moisturizing can be done in an oven with temperature set to 80 Celsius to 100 Celsius for 4 hours. Methods of coating include spraying, brushing or dipping. Products should be mixed in desired ratio as mentioned on the container, we recommend not use thinner for dilution, thinner to be used only for all types of cleaning purpose. Product air dries within 24 hours hours (except in rainy season takes longer duration), cures in 7 days OR curing can be achieved by baking the coating at 150 C for 20 - 30 minutes. All the eligibility test required for approving above products for its use as a conformal coating to be carried out after complete curing of two components i.e. after 7 complete days.

Conformal Coatings: Our product has been approved by HAL - RCMA for its use (in Russian Projects) as an Epoxy based & Urethane Based conformal coating applied on PCB after complete assembly.
